I logged in last night after a long day at the office – why is it that the day before a holiday weekend always seems to drag on forever? Lo and behold, my mood instantly brightened when I found MichaMi’s latest release, the Anouk Jumpsuit, waiting for me. It is so cute and comfy-looking that I instantly IM’d Milla to ask her to make it for my RL avi…she claims not to sew, but I’m not buying it. I have a hard time believing there is anything this girl can’t do.

One thing I love about this jumpsuit is that it is so versatile. This is something I find to be true for most of MichaMi’s designs. The soft textures and loose fit would lend itself easily to a relaxed, girls-night-in or a day of running errands. In fact, when I first tried it on, my initial reaction was to slip into ETD’s Demi-Trainers (my jogging shoe of choice) and a huge handbag. But Thursday nights are for dancing, so I decided to jazz it up for a night out!
With only a few minutes to spare before the weekly Thursday Night Dance Party at Rouge, I scrambled about looking for accessories and eventually decided to wear every butterfly in my inventory (I think I might have mentioned my obsession with the winged beauties a time or two). The Butterfly Effect eye decoration from Glow Studios is a recent addition to my stash and I love the ethereal quality of it. My sandals are also a recent acquisition, this time from Courtisane, I’m thinking of picking up a few more pairs as I really love the shape of the heel and the trailing ribbon tie.

You know what tonight is, right? It’s the Thursday Night Dance Party at Rouge! Presided over by DJ extraordinnaire, Nexeus Fatale.  But tonight has a little twist.  It’s my RL birthday week so I’ve turned the TNDP into my Birthday Party!

Butterflies seem to be my new obsession and I’ve gone a bit overboard with the butterfly-themed accessories in my party attire.

It all started with Canimal’s Skellyflies, then came the KaWaii butterfly necklace and ring from Fishy Strawberry, Ryker Beck’s gorgeous Monarch tattoos and, well, at that point, choosing the outfit was almost secondary.  I was just trying to find something to match all of the fluttering wings floating about!  Oh!  And check the shoes from Kookie.  They were only 50L and a perfect compliment to DeLa’s Leona dress.

Nexeus Fatale is getting his DJ groove on again and has decided to restart his Thursday Night Dance Parties at various locations around the grid.  Tonight, he was at Rouge!  RL kept me longer than I had anticipated so I was in a bit of a rush getting dressed, but I really liked what I threw together.  It was the perfect outfit for a low-key night out dancing with good friends and great music.
