Shoe Fair Finds Day 2 – Periquita

I love shoes from Periquita, they always have a touch of whimsy. And what is Shoe Fair if not a chance to buy whimsical footwear for a good cause, right?

The Silly Wedges take the simple wedge that is so on-trend for this season and curves the heel, carves it out and fills it with beads. And, like all shoes from Periquita, they are ridiculously well priced and have a color change HUD. You can change both the texture (lots of colors, both striped and solids) and the bead color…or you can take the beads out altogether. The possibilities are endless!

Shoe Fair Finds Day 1 – Pixel Mode

Until the 2010 Shoe Fair started, you would have been hard-pressed to get me out of my Baby T’s by Pixel Mode. Now, though, I have a new favorite in Jori. I love a strappy stiletto and Tya gets this one just right.

The skin texture is very well done, the foot and the shoe is shaped nicely, and the HUD is very easy to use, so getting a good skin-to-prim match is a snap. I love the shading around the ankle and the detail on the straps. There is a separate HUD for changing the metal color on the shoes, also. Oh! And, Tya has included a set of Prim Nails that responds to the shoe HUD, so your mani and your pedi will match.

You’ll find Pixel Mode at Shoe Fair on the Iridium Sim. The 2010 Shoe Fair runs through August 22.

I’m My Own Dance

New Hair + New Poses = Happy Gabby
LeLutka recently released some all new hairstyles and, like pretty much everything that comes from the LeLutka team, they are both gorgeous and well made. The new textures seem to have a lot of shine and there are dozens of color options available.

I went on a shopping spree at Dare and picked up some fantastic new poses and…hello, Bonus! Each of the four new “Single Ladies” sets includes a bodysuit by !Ohmai. I have no idea if I have the right bodysuit with the right pose or not, because I just sort of threw them all in a posestand and started playing. Sorry!

Bend Me, Shape Me, Anyway You Want Me

I love poses. Really I do. And today, I love the new poses from Glamouramama Boa’s Just A Pose shop in the new Bloom shopping area.

When I saw the package from Glam drop into my offlines, I couldn’t wait to get home and try them. Glam has a quirky, sometimes kinky, always infectious sense of humor and personal style. I just knew the poses would reflect her personality. And, they do! Glam told me today that she is really inspired by the feedback she is receiving, so expect some more poses very soon!

Yesterday was my third rez day and Codie surprised me with a party! This is the outfit that I put together for an evening of good music, friends and fun! Thanks to everyone who came and sent kind words. I <3 you all!

Everybody Gets The Blues

MichaMi’s latest release of separates, the Nina Capris, Crop Top and Mesh Tank, comes in eight coordinated, easy-to-mix colors. I chose to pair the cool aqua Crop Top with the black Capris. Surfside Solitude

I often refer to Plurk as “the news”. As in, “Sorry I was AFK, I had to read the news.” I can always count on my plurk friends to keep me abreast of new releases, great locations for taking photos and can’t-miss sales. This post is testament to that.

Katey Coppola plurked this morning to remind us that the HUGE sale at Nayar ends June 1st. You might choose to pick up one of these adorable Katey Kinis. I’m sort of partial to red, so the Ladybug version is my favorite. For the sunglasses, I turned to Strawberry Singh, who had recently plurked her post about Mojoti Eyewear. These are really well made and there are a ton of options! So, bikini? Check. Sunglasses? Check. Now, where to shoot? I plurked a request for beachy sims and Myndi Meredith suggested Sol Mananero. And WOW! What a gorgeous setting. You can expect to see lots of beachy photos from me for a while, I plan to camp here for the summer.

New Release: Kat by MichaMi

This weekend, Milla Michinaga of MichaMi released Kat, a hot little mini-dress. The body-conscious silhouette is accented by tone-on-tone feline stripes.

Kat is available in five colors on all possible layers for maximum flexibility. Milla has also provided a sculpted skirt in four sizes and a system skirt, as I’m wearing here. We all know someone who is guilty of bullying and someone who has been bullied. April 14, 2010 is Pink Shirt Day, an awareness initiative that asks us to examine our behaviors and to make a change, both in ourselves and in the lives of those who are victims of bullying.

Second Life is full of very generous content creators, many of whom stand behind this initiative and have created items, many of them for free, for you to enjoy.

So, please, take a a stand against bullying, in your First and Second Life. Bullying is not something only felt by school-aged children, but by millions of people worldwide – of all ages, genders, races…it knows no limits.
