Jori Watler of alaMood debuts her new Soho necklace and earrings at the Accessory Fair 2010 which opened today! I’m in love with the organic shape of the onyx framed in silver and the heavy feel of the chain. These pieces really stand out when paired with your favorite little black dress. Or wear them with a cropped leather jacket and boots to make a statement. And, I should probably mention that Soho is available in ELEVEN color options. That’s right. ELEVEN stones to choose from. I might never have to wear another piece of jewelry again. *dies* (okay, well, one of the color options is actually a group gift…just one more reason to be in the group!)
You can find alaMood at Booth 52. You might want to hurry over there now.
…created by a few of my favorite people.
MichaMi’s brand new Tori Dress by Milla Michinaga. The ensemble comes with tights, but I think it works with bare legs, too. The Boho Birdie Necklace from Sable Rose by Rosie Barthelmess. I blogged about this earlier in the week and haven’t had it off since, I love it so. Truth’s latest release, Justine, in Champagne by Truth Hawks. Truth is a machine, pumping out three or four new styles every week. And his styles, including demos, are available on xstreet.
The background texture is by Moo Money of Made By Moo. I’ve become a bit of a textureholic lately, because it is so much easier to snap lovely pictures when there is something pretty to pose against. Moo just released dozens of gorgeous wallpapers, with and without baseboards, in a whole rainbow of colors. This is from the Grandma’s Neutral Wallpaper Browns pack.
And here’s a close-up of Jori Watler’s Upon Wings ring which is available at alaMood as part of this week’s Stumblebum Brigade event. Jori makes so many lovely things, more often than not, if you see me out and ask me who made the jewelry I’m wearing, at least one piece will be Jori’s.
I love all of my very talented friends. Thank you for sharing your talent with us. <3

If the road to hell is paved with good intentions, I’m building a super highway. When 2010 began, I resolved to keep a more consistent blogging schedule and complete the 365 Day Challenge. I’ve failed miserably at both. The only thing to do, at this point, is pick up and try again, right? Okay, here we go!
Milla Michinaga moved her MichaMi mainstore to the Glitter sim a couple of weeks ago, and with the move, released some new separates. The Pia is a pair of cut-out leggings, and Maisie features a sweater and leggings with a subtle, tone-on-tone pattern that can be worn casually or dressed up, together or separate. Both Pia and Maisie are available in a range of colors.
I’ve been wearing this particular look for almost a week now and I loved it so much, I had to use the image to update my Plurk page. I’ve said it before, and I’ll say it again: The thing I love best about MichaMi’s clothes is how well they mix and match into my entire wardrobe. Milla creates everything on all possible layers, so it is a snap to mash her styles with just about anything! Or wear them all on their own. Milla has impeccable taste, and her talent and style really shine through with each new design.
Now go! Rush over and buy everything she’s ever made. You won’t regret it!

I actually put this look together several days ago. Launa Fauna had just released her new skin line, Lapine, under her new brand name, L. Fauna, and I was in the mood for something comfy and casual. The holidays, however, creeped up on me and I was left with no time to blog. I wanted to play with some frosty blue and silver tones, so this outfit started with the Elspeth Cardigan in Snowflake from Artilleri, which I layered over MichaMi’s GlamTank in white. I topped Milk Motion’s My Boyfriend Jeans with Reek’s I Heart Stripes Belt. For accessories, I turned to my “go to” jewelry designer, Jori Watler, and chose the Kalnera Original Pendant and Bandara Bracelet from alaMood. The skin that I’m wearing in the first picture is Fresh, with the freckled option, from the original Lapine release. Today, however, I couldn’t help myself and had to ‘port over to pick up the second set. I’ve included photos of the five new makeups. I’m wearing the Tan 1 tone in each of these photos, but there are six skin tones available. Each comes with tintable brows and lipsticks, as well as freckle and cleavage options. There are now 10 makeups available in each tone and L.Fauna offers a gift-delivery service for both single skins and fat packs. I love skins with freckles, but I usually have problems finding a skin that is both perfectly freckled and fits my shape. These L. Fauna skins deliver…on both counts. You can bet I’ll be wearing them quite a bit!

Jori Watler’s latest release, Mora Gabby, is exactly my style. Truth be told, I’m hard-pressed to find a single piece from alaMood that I don’t fall in love with immediately. But this one…this one is so versatile, and the textures are so spot-on, it is definitely my favorite. With stones of amber and tigers eye, the Mora Gabby set is comprised of 3 pieces, each with dual attachment points. There is the necklace and ring, both of which I’m wearing in these photos, and a lovely, chunky cuff bracelet. You can find all of the pieces at alaMood on Fusion. I’m also wearing one of Truth’s latest hair releases, Eve in Coffee, Sienna skin in Tinsel by Exodi and the Tuli dress by Elate in Chocolate. Polaroid frames created in-world with the FilterCam HUD by MechanizedLife.
Today’s look is a mix of old and new pieces from some of my favorite tried-and-true designers. I wanted to put together something casual and very “me.” I love this new cardigan from Artilleri so much I had to have the fatpack, and while I was there, I cleaned out the entire display of glasses. I love mixing Antie’s retro style into my everyday wardrobe. The bracelets and necklace are new from alaMood. Jori has gone crazy this weekend, introducing a whopping 20 new pieces to the grid. I’m also wearing my favorite Bandara ring from alaMood, in a pink shade to pick up the glossy pink lips of Babyhoney Bailey’s new skin, MUA by Djinn & Tonic. For the rest of the look, I added caLLie cLine’s giant Black Rock ring, a 50L Friday find, a must-have tank from MichaMi, my favorite jeans from Zaara, a great belt from Linc, and ankle boots from J’s. As usual, the hair is from Truth and my eyes are Exodi.

I don’t get a chance to watch a lot of television, but Tabatha’s Salon Takeover is a weekly must-see! In last week’s episode, she referred to one of the stylists as a “disco ball” when she showed up dressed all in gaudily sparkling silver. I’ve not been able to get that look out of my head, so I chose to use it as inspiration for today’s look of the day.

When it comes to skins, I’m not a huge shape tweaker. That’s probably why I stick to Exodi and 5th & Oxford most of the time. It’s pretty much a given that any skin from either of these two brands will fit my shape without any modification. And, that’s probably why I liked the skins that Gandalf Edman presented to me for review. GeEs Design is a new-to-me skin shop and has three new skins available at the 2009 Skin Fair that is going on now.
Tara America has a darker skin-tone, Tara Australia is a nice sun-kissed tan and Tara India is quite pale. The makeup selection for each ranges from subtle to glam, and are all quite well done. Though it is a bit darker than what I usually wear, I think I actually prefer Tara America and really had a hard time selecting my favorite makeups to feature in this post. And I think they all look great with the new Athshe necklaces, shown in Silver, Gold and Ice, designed by my uber-talented bestie, Jori Watler and available at alaMood.
And while I’m talking about features…take a look at the top photo. That was created in the new Photoble by MudHoney Designs. Rayvn Hynes has created a collection of mini-rooms specifically designed for photography. Though built with photography in mind, they are really quite versatile as the pieces can be used independently. Some versions, like the Glam Girl room I’ve used, have poses built in and texture-changing walls. You can see all of the designs at the MudHoney main store.
And, back to the skins. While I’ve never been one to inspect every pixel of a skin, I’m very picky about what I like and what I don’t. These skins have a lot of what I like: Nice, even skin tones, well-placed highlighting, and pretty lips and eyes with colors that are saturated and not overly smudged. I spent a good amount of times in these skins and did not come across any noticeable seam issues. These are skins I will definitely wear over and over again.

Few skins make me want to lounge around half-naked like those from Exodi. But Sienna, Ryker Beck’s fifth line this year (and very likely the last for 2009) is definitely lingerie-worthy. So much so, in fact, I invited Jori over to strip down with me.
Sienna will be released November 5th and comes with a whole host of options. Choose dark brows or light, freckles and cleavage enhancement. There are a whopping 16 makeups to choose from, each in a dark and light version. So, if we add all that up, there are 8 skins in each single makeup purchase and 128 skins in the fatpack. That’s right. One hundred twenty eight! I actually had to count them in my inventory because I was convinced my math was incorrect. Sienna will be available in four skin tones. In all of these pictures I am wearing the Vivante tone with freckles and the dark makeup option. And in the photo above, Jori is wearing the Soleil tone in Snow.
Click through the jump to see all of the sixteen makeup options. And then mark your calendars and scoot over to Exodi on Thursday.
