Day 17: Daydreaming
Jan 30th, 2010 by Gabby Panacek

What a relaxing evening. Stretched out in a comfy chair, relaxing and daydreaming while Codie names her new turtles.

Day 17 - Daydreaming

I really love the new Brooke skins from 5th & Oxford. Roslin and CJ have, once again, paid remarkable attention to the even the smallest details and Roslin’s experience as a makeup artist really comes through in this line. Here, I’m wearing the Kitty makeup, Number 4, in the Medium tone. I will have to show you more of the body at a later date…perhaps we’ll feature some lingerie since Valentine’s day will be here soon!

Also wearing, the Ebba Jeans and Fearne top from MichaMi, the new Joanna hair from Truth and my comfy petankos from Zero Number.  I’m lounging on the Model Chair by Glitterati. Oh, and both photos were taken with the FilterCam HUD by MechanizedLife…just shoot and crop and tada! Instant framed photo!

Day 6: A Late LOTD
Jan 9th, 2010 by Gabby Panacek

I really did take this photo last night, I promise. Time, though, is a cruel mistress and before I had time to blog, the clock struck twelve and I collapsed with a thud on my keybord. Trust me on this one, QWERTYface is not a good look. But, I digress.

Day 6

Oh! And look for Day 7 on my Flickr photostream!

Rockin’ In The New Year
Dec 31st, 2009 by Gabby Panacek

Some people may choose to ring in the new year, but I prefer to Rock!

Rockin In The New Year

The Rebel, Rebel collection from 5th & Oxford features two t-shirts and a halter, each in five colors and a denim mini with prim skirt and sculpted belt in four colors.  There is also a coordinating home furnishings collection with wall and floor textures, two record mobiles and a sofa in two colors.  As usual, Roslin Petion and CJ Carnot haven’t left a single detail to chance in creating these items.  One of my New Year’s resolutions is to rebuild my home on Night Flower and you can be sure that I will find a place for all of these pieces!

Ain’t Miss-behavin’…Well, Maybe A Little
Oct 26th, 2009 by Gabby Panacek

Fifth and Oxford, the brainchild of Roslin Petion and CJ Carnot, recently released the Little Miss Collection. This fun and flirty line features skins, lingerie, slips, and accessories that are at once the picture of doe-eyed innocence and pin-up smolder.

Little Miss by 5th and Oxford

I love the smoky eyes and full lips that are expertly drawn, just as we’ve come to expect from Roslin and CJ.  The lingerie is full of delicate details that really show off the duo’s talent.  Add in the fluff of the mules and I was in a pin-up mood, so I used the Sissi & Glitterati collaborative Pearls Pose set.

Now, I’m all dressed up (erm, down?), so I think I’ll take my Little Miss for a little misbehavin’. *winks*

Also worn:
Hair: Truth – Gloria in Coffee
Eyes: Exodi – Old Hollywood Eyes – Dark, Large, Veins

Cocktail Hour
Aug 23rd, 2009 by Gabby Panacek

Roslin Petion and CJ Carnot of 5th & Oxford have released their Summer Cocktails collection.  I’ve always known CJ was a gifted builder – each incarnation of their main store on Nouveau is a testament to his skills – but the bar set they have created is exceptionally designed and loaded with details.  The glasses empty as you drink from them, you can douse your friends with the seltzer bottle (you might want to think twice before you give them one of the 3 extras that come in the set), there are little dishes of lemons and olives for garnishing your drink of choice and the bar and the bar stools feature a color change menu so you can easily integrate the set in your existing decor.

5th & Oxford - Summer Cocktails

As if that wasn’t enough, along comes Roslin, with her eye for understated elegance, to make sure that we are properly attired.  The Summer Cocktails collection features two dress designs.  The mini (above in Cheeky Monkey and below in Blue Lagoon) is a sleek, one shouldered little number with a prim skirt. And the dress (below in Red Crush and Appletini) features a V-neck, sculpted sleeves and obi-style belt, and makes use of the system skirt for a slim silhouette. With names straight from the Bartender’s Bible, there are six vibrant colors to choose from. There is also a new Summer Cocktail makeup line added to the Audrey skin series that perfectly compliments the dresses.  (Note: Click on the pics and view at original size to see more detail)

Now, the jewelry you will have to wait for.  Jori Watler, of Pretties by JB, is gearing up for September’s jewelry expo and I managed to sneak a few pieces out of her studio while I was watching her work.  Don’t tell her, though, I’m hoping she won’t miss these few I pilfered from her pile of amazing designs.  I can’t wait to see the rest of her collection and I’ll try to sneak a few more out of the workroom…if she doesn’t ban me first.  (Don’t forget to click through to flickr and view the pics in original size for a better look at the jewelry and the makeup)

For now, though, hop on over to 5th & Oxford and pick out your favorite Summer Cocktail, then relax at the bar with your friends!

Summer Fun: Part 3
Jul 14th, 2009 by Gabby Panacek

Magen Jigsaw is relatively new to the SL Fashion scene.  But her debut line of swimwear makes a big splash! Designing under the brand name ::Emjay::, Magen’s selection of bikini’s are available in a fantastic array of patterns.
Emjay
Available in 12 different patterns (probably more by the time this is posted) – florals, stripes, mod, paisley, you name it! – these bikinis are nicely crafted. I’ve decided to show you my three favorites: Mod Brown, Rainbow Paisley and Purple Teal. The new Emjay store has recently opened and you can also find her designs on XstreetSL. Drop in and say hello to Magen and check out her entire line of bikinis and casual wear. I decided to wear them with my Risque pumps from Pretties by JB…great styling, fantastic textures…I promise to give you more details on them soon!

Also, notice the close up of the Audrey skin from 5th & Oxford. This one is Medium Fresh 5 and I love the flush of the cheeks and the touch of pink and slick of gloss on the lips…very fresh and natural. I have always loved Roslin’s and CJ’s skins, and Audrey is no exception. I find new reason to love it with each passing minute.

Oh, the hair is Vesper by Truth and my eyes are Vetro by Exodi!

Summer Fun: Part 2
Jul 14th, 2009 by Gabby Panacek

It’s no secret that I am a huge fan of Ryker Beck and her Exodi line of clothing, skin, shoes and jewelry. That said, it shouldn’t come as any surprise that I am a huge fan of her 2009 swimwear collection. Interesting shapes, just the right amount of sheen and an adorable cover-up…who could ask for more?
Maci
The Maci Bikini features a halter-style top with a center ring detail. The top is cut high on the breast for a little extra smexiness. The bottoms ride low on the hips and the hand-drawn designs of the top are echoed on the tush. The Natalie Cover-up comes in a variety of colors to compliment all of the Maci options.
Olivia
The Olivia Unikini turns up the the heat by adding a double-ring detail and two straps to connect the top and the bottom. There are eight colors available and when your day at the beach is over, just toss on a cover up, some Nadia shorts, also by Exodi, and the Khea Summer Heels from Pretties by JB.

As in my last post, my skin is from the new Audrey Line by 5th & Oxford, but this time my hair is the new Turn It Around by @Waffles, available only at their le.look location.

Summer Fun: Part 1
Jul 14th, 2009 by Gabby Panacek

Not too terribly long ago, Milla Michinaga passed her first swimwear collection to me, and I’m truly impressed. Each piece is beautifully designed and executed, from the traditional triangle-bikini shape of Aaliyah, Soraya’s sporty halter and wide-band waist, to Yolanda’s daringly sheer torso and low-cut bodice.
Aaliyah
Aaliyah’s basic shape is enhanced by the white piping that trims both the top and the bottom.  The cut provides just enough coverage, but if you prefer a more modest look, just throw on the sheer tunic that is included.
Soraya & Yolanda
Soraya features a halter-style top with a more modest cut, but the low-riding bottoms enhance its wow factor.  Yolanda, though, for me is the showstopper.  Cut low in the front and slightly gathered at the bodice, it’s the detail work on the semi-sheer torso that really grabs your attention.

So, before your next trip to the beach, or the pool, run over to MichaMi and try on her new swimwear…and then buy everything else in the store, too!
The skin I’m wearing is the new Audrey line from 5th & Oxford.  Roslin Petion and CJ Carnot have retired the Fleur brand and launched 5th & Oxford.  From Roslin’s blog:

“We are no longer just about skins. Along with our new name, 5th & Oxford will bring a diverse range of products which draw from the most current trends in fashion and design, for both women, men, AND your home.”

Keep up to date with 5th & Oxford releases here.

The only other things I’m wearing: Hair by Truth, this is Charlotte in Coffee, and my favorite eyes, Vetro by Exodi, in blue.
