You’re Invited: Rouge Anniversary Party
Jul 11th, 2009 by Gabby Panacek

Life Is A Cabaret

Can you believe it’s been a year since we celebrated the Grand Opening of the Rouge Sim? And what a fantastic year it’s been!

Come celebrate Rouge’s First Anniversary TODAY from Noon to Midnight SLT.  We’ve planned an epic gala to mark the event…and we want YOU to be there!

Life, at Rouge, is always a cabaret, so come dressed in your finest burlesque and prepare for an evening of fun, frivolity and fantastic debauchery.

DJ Asreal Hax gets the party started at Noon and DJ Miss Cyberpink, Amanda Shinji, takes over the turntables at 2pm SLT.

At 4pm, Rouge’s own Nexeus Fatale steps to the mic with his signature grooves and DJ Genki Dreamscape turns up the metal starting at 6pm.

Nexeus returns to the DJ Booth at 8pm for an hour of booty shaking to get you all warmed up for the night’s Special Performance Event – SLag Fetish Burlesque presented by Glamouramama Boa and her amazing group of dancers with music by DJ xSaraho Mornington.

Finally, DJ Fine Caliber keeps the party moving right along until midnight.

Twelve full hours packed with the finest DJs and Performers on the Grid!

But, wait! There’s more!

Several of the grid’s most creative minds have donated gifts that will be given away throughout the event. Homes from O-Magine HomeWorks, Raven Prim packages from Raven Scripts, Special Rouge Edition Carmela Bustiers from MichaMi, Special Edition Gypsy Jewelry Sets from Puarangi Designs, Custom Shape Voucher from Hourglass Shapes, Men’s and Women’s clothing and shoes from Truth, clothing from Rose Petal Creations, an unreleased lingerie set from Annyka Bekkers of Blowpop, as well as gifts from Eshi Otawara, Mechanized Life, caLLie cLine and more!

Don’t miss the Event of the Summer!  I can’t wait to see you at Rouge!

Fashion Designer’s Challenge: Mark Your Calendars
Apr 28th, 2009 by Gabby Panacek

This evening I had the pleasure of attending (yes, in all my fruity glory) the Pre-Launch party for the Fashion Designer’s Challenge.  This event, the brainchild of Samsara Nishi, features 35 of Second Life’s most talented designers and requires them to work collaboratively to create clothing, skin, hair and shoes that are, perhaps, outside their usual style.  The event opens to the public on May 5 with a fashion show of all of the designs.  Make your plans to attend now, you don’t want to miss this.

“For a long time I’ve wishing to explore more deeply the collaboration aspect of SL, and I was also so curious about how it would be to organize such a thing… Finally I found a funny way to do it: usualy fashion designers, including me, work alone, all by themselves… well… what if they could influence each other to create? So I decided to invite other fashion designers to join me to be challenging each other to explore our creative minds by practicing our design abilities on the fly!” says Samsara Nishi.

FDC Nyte Vargas and Anubis Hartunian

I was blown away by the creativity and unique styles created by these uber-talented designers, so without further ado, let me share with you some of my favorites…and truth be told, it was incredibly hard to choose, there were so many, many well crafted, well thought out designs. Hair Fair 2008: Let The Countdown Begin
Aug 11th, 2008 by Gabby Panacek

Only ELEVEN days to Hair Fair 2008! Have you been saving your Lindens? If not, you will want to start now! With close to 90 virtual stylists participating, this year’s Fair promises to be bigger and better than ever!

Here is the official Press Release:

HAIR FAIR ‘08
August 22 – September 7, 2008

The 3rd annual Hair Fair will soon be under way! We are very pleased to have almost 90 participants this year, spreading across four sims. The Hair Fair will be sponsored by Rezzable, who have donated the islands for this charity event.

Hair Fair donates proceeds to Locks of Love, an organization that donates wigs to children who suffer hair loss due to cancer, burns, and other conditions. This year, all designers at the fair will donate 50% of one style to the charity.
We will also have donation kiosks placed around the fair, where you can donate directly.

Landmarks to the event will be posted on our website, and to the Subscribe-o-Matic group as we near the event. We’ll have many events this year, including Bandana Day, the Fashion Show, quizzes, and the Flickr Contest. Joining the Subscribe-o-Matic will give you the benefit of being the first to hear about these!
Please head to Hairspray to join the Subscribe-o-Matic group. There are also other Hair Fair Subscribe-o-Matics around grid. For a complete list of kiosk locations, go to the SOM groups page

Our Subscribe-o-Matic was generously donated by MSo Lambert. Thank you!
