Dress For Winter In Style
Dec 16th, 2008 by alexx

For men, when it comes to fashion in Second Life, our range of choices is not as broad as it is for women. But, even though our choice in shops is limited, it doesnt mean that our options have to be.

With the right accessories, and by following a few basic rules, its easy to put together a great look with alot of style. Something that not only represents you, but will also boost your appreciation for fashion.

Winter has come for almost everybody so this is the perfect time to change out of the usual jeans and t-shirts. It’s time to put on layers and make women want to touch and hug you for warmth, while you keep that confident feeling.

With a few carefully selected clothes, you can easily create mix and match outfits. It’s often a good idea to rip apart the sets you buy and store them as single items so your imagination can see all the possibilites… a couple pairs of jeans, a leather jacket and t-shirt and you can throw together a hip, rocker outfit or add a scarf and winter hat and all of sudden you’re ready for a date out in the snow.

And don’t forget that accessories can pack alot of power. Take glasses, for example, with the right pair, you’ll notice how they seem to make your avatar look smarter, more mysterious or more put together. Having a broad range of accessories and mixing them with good taste and a few classic wardrobe staples, will show your creativity and your sense of style. So be creative and use those attachements points to their full potential

The Y Factor
May 14th, 2008 by Gabby Panacek

I thought I’d break from the norm and throw a little men’s fashion at you. Just a little something to satisfy our readers with that pesky Y chromosome. I asked Guy to model for me and he was gracious enough to oblige after only a minimum of arm-twisting and sweet-talking by yours truly.

So we set out to find a couple of new-to-us items and came across Valiant. There are some really nice designs here and we picked out several. Then we made off to Shiny Things for some shoes and then rummaged through his inventory to fill out the looks.

Click the jump for more photos and style sheets.

The top photo, of course, is a great tuxedo from Rebel Hope. We really like to go out dancing, so this particular outfit comes up pretty often in the rotation.

With the vest, cuff and loafers, this look is perfect for a concert or other relatively casual outing….like shopping. (Honey, would you mind holding my purse, please? I just want to look at one more thing…)

And for ultra casual days, the open jacket with prim cuffs and collar work perfectly with the grey wash on these jeans from Rogue.

We do hope you enjoyed this little departure, and we now return you to your regularly scheduled programming.
