What a relaxing evening. Stretched out in a comfy chair, relaxing and daydreaming while Codie names her new turtles.
I really love the new Brooke skins from 5th & Oxford. Roslin and CJ have, once again, paid remarkable attention to the even the smallest details and Roslin’s experience as a makeup artist really comes through in this line. Here, I’m wearing the Kitty makeup, Number 4, in the Medium tone. I will have to show you more of the body at a later date…perhaps we’ll feature some lingerie since Valentine’s day will be here soon!
Also wearing, the Ebba Jeans and Fearne top from MichaMi, the new Joanna hair from Truth and my comfy petankos from Zero Number. I’m lounging on the Model Chair by Glitterati. Oh, and both photos were taken with the FilterCam HUD by MechanizedLife…just shoot and crop and tada! Instant framed photo!
If the road to hell is paved with good intentions, I’m building a super highway. When 2010 began, I resolved to keep a more consistent blogging schedule and complete the 365 Day Challenge. I’ve failed miserably at both. The only thing to do, at this point, is pick up and try again, right? Okay, here we go!
Milla Michinaga moved her MichaMi mainstore to the Glitter sim a couple of weeks ago, and with the move, released some new separates. The Pia is a pair of cut-out leggings, and Maisie features a sweater and leggings with a subtle, tone-on-tone pattern that can be worn casually or dressed up, together or separate. Both Pia and Maisie are available in a range of colors.
I’ve been wearing this particular look for almost a week now and I loved it so much, I had to use the image to update my Plurk page. I’ve said it before, and I’ll say it again: The thing I love best about MichaMi’s clothes is how well they mix and match into my entire wardrobe. Milla creates everything on all possible layers, so it is a snap to mash her styles with just about anything! Or wear them all on their own. Milla has impeccable taste, and her talent and style really shine through with each new design.
Now go! Rush over and buy everything she’s ever made. You won’t regret it!

I really did take this photo last night, I promise. Time, though, is a cruel mistress and before I had time to blog, the clock struck twelve and I collapsed with a thud on my keybord. Trust me on this one, QWERTYface is not a good look. But, I digress.
Oh! And look for Day 7 on my Flickr photostream!

From my seat by the window, I can look out across the water at the two floating lotus that Eshi Otawara created for Night Flower. What a gorgeous view to log in to each day, right?
Saiyge Lotus is doing most of the heavy lifting as we redesign the sim – the woman is amazing when it comes to sim design, terraforming and landscaping, and I’m not exaggerating even a little bit! Have you visited Oubliette? If not, you need to! And while you’re there, visit her store, Balderdash, where she turns tiny prims into works of wearable art…among other things.
So, even though I can do little more than move some pixel furniture back and forth while I bounce around watching Saiyge work her magic, I’m keeping my look comfortable. I paired a long sweater with some leggings and simple shoes. To ramp up the warmth factor, I snuggled into some fingerless gloves and legwarmers to complete the look.
Now, I’m heading back to the sim to rummage my inventory for more furniture. Feel free to drop in for a visit!

Some people may choose to ring in the new year, but I prefer to Rock!
The Rebel, Rebel collection from 5th & Oxford features two t-shirts and a halter, each in five colors and a denim mini with prim skirt and sculpted belt in four colors. There is also a coordinating home furnishings collection with wall and floor textures, two record mobiles and a sofa in two colors. As usual, Roslin Petion and CJ Carnot haven’t left a single detail to chance in creating these items. One of my New Year’s resolutions is to rebuild my home on Night Flower and you can be sure that I will find a place for all of these pieces!

Annah Whitfield passed me a copy of her Patricia jacket before Christmas and I have finally found time to blog it. And I’m so glad that I did as it is simply gorgeous. As with all of the designs at StoRin, this jacket is very well made and I love the fact that it comes with a color-change belt. For this look, I chose to pair it with simple trousers, a bustier with some lovely details and I made the belt blue to pick up the stone in the necklace.

I’ve decided to go back to blonde for a while, so I chose a creamy, neutral color palette to go along with it.

I actually put this look together several days ago. Launa Fauna had just released her new skin line, Lapine, under her new brand name, L. Fauna, and I was in the mood for something comfy and casual. The holidays, however, creeped up on me and I was left with no time to blog. I wanted to play with some frosty blue and silver tones, so this outfit started with the Elspeth Cardigan in Snowflake from Artilleri, which I layered over MichaMi’s GlamTank in white. I topped Milk Motion’s My Boyfriend Jeans with Reek’s I Heart Stripes Belt. For accessories, I turned to my “go to” jewelry designer, Jori Watler, and chose the Kalnera Original Pendant and Bandara Bracelet from alaMood. The skin that I’m wearing in the first picture is Fresh, with the freckled option, from the original Lapine release. Today, however, I couldn’t help myself and had to ‘port over to pick up the second set. I’ve included photos of the five new makeups. I’m wearing the Tan 1 tone in each of these photos, but there are six skin tones available. Each comes with tintable brows and lipsticks, as well as freckle and cleavage options. There are now 10 makeups available in each tone and L.Fauna offers a gift-delivery service for both single skins and fat packs. I love skins with freckles, but I usually have problems finding a skin that is both perfectly freckled and fits my shape. These L. Fauna skins deliver…on both counts. You can bet I’ll be wearing them quite a bit!

Despite the fact that outside of SL, snow and heels are mutually exclusive, the new Legwarmers + Heels from Anexx put me in the mood to play in the snow. Listening to: Winter Song The comfy legwarmers come in two styles per color, a solid-color cable knit and a nordic-print knit. The sculpted shoe is very well-made with a slim heel and rounded toe. With the shoes, designer machang Pichot has also included knit tights in a variety of colors that can be worn with or without the shoes. The skin I’m wearing is the latest from GeEs Designs and is called Scandinavia. The ivory skin tone and cold-flushed cheeks are perfect for winter weather. I chose Roskilde for its pinkish eye shadow and lips, but there are a total of 10 makeup styles to choose from, each with options for gloss, pubic hair and cleavage. For more details, keep reading after the cut. Read the rest of this entry »
Shiryu Musashi passed his recent release, the December Warmth coat, to me a week or two ago and I’ve been wearing it quite a bit since. Today, though, while shopping at Creamshop, I was inspired to take a few photos. I’m a sucker for the rain. And, apparently, The Carpenters…hence, the title.
I completed the look with my wardrobe staples: MichaMi slacks, Tesla shoes, Truth hair, and Exodi skin and eyes.
And, in case you haven’t noticed, I’m really having a fantastic time playing the the FilterCam HUD by MechanizedLife. Any tool that keeps me from having to spend any time post-processing is total win in my book.
