Really and truly I don’t. I swore I’d use a V1.xx viewer until it was pried from my cold, dead pixel hands…and then came mesh. I tried to resist. I told myself I could live without swishy skirts that moved with my body. That I wouldn’t let unforgiving sculpts bother me. But plurk is a cruel, cruel temptress. Everywhere I turned there were new pictures of these gorgeous mesh clothes and jewelry and furniture and …I caved.
So, here I am, trying to find a viewer that won’t make my graphics card whinge like a baby, playing with mesh and shadows and multiple layers and, as much as I hate to admit it, having a blast! Thankfully, I’ve received lots of great advice from plurk and, most generously, my dear friend Caer, who recreated her shadow-friendly skybox for me and passed along the ingenious follow spot she made and scripted.
Anyway. I’m dipping my toe back into the blogging pond after a long hiatus and I need to know…Who makes your favorite mesh items? What are your best tips/tricks for playing with shadows? Happy New Year!
