BBBC Day 1 – Why?

Today is Day 1 of the Big, Bad Blogger Challenge, the brainchild of Alicia Chenaux. This is my first year participating in the challenge and I’m both excited and apprehensive…whether or not I have a solid week’s worth of blogging in me is yet to be seen.

BBBC - Day 1
Today’s Topic: Why did you become a blogger? How has it enriched your life?

That’s an easy one. I started blogging to justify my ridiculous Second Life shopping habit. I found myself spending far too much money on virtual clothes and accessories with nothing to show for it, so I started taking pictures. A friend and I decided to start a blog together in 2007, it was fine for a while, but co-blogging didn’t work out quite the way we expected and Couture Conundrum was born in 2008.

Through blogging and reading blogs, I was introduced to Twitter. Twitter introduced me to some really amazing people. Later, when Plurk came along, I migrated over there and met even more amazing people. So, in a roundabout way, blogging has allowed me to come into contact with some really wonderful individuals, and groups of individuals, many of whom I am blessed to call my friends.

There are many ways blogging has enriched my life, both real and virtual, but the people I have met through blogging are at the top of the list.

I’m generally not the guy to write comments on people’s blogs, but for this article I just had to perform it. I’ve been digging close to your web page considerably nowadays and I’m very impressed, I imagine you can genuinely emerge as the main voices for your market. Not certain what your load is like in life, but in case you started devoting more effort to posting on this site, I would guess you’d start seeing a bunch of traffic soon. With ads, it may become a sweet second revenue stream. Just an idea to ponder. Great luck!
