I’ve recently become reacquainted with Moonshine.  No, I haven’t taken to distilling my own liquor, but I have rediscovered my fondness for Shelly Toonie’s designs.  I have an alt (shhh…don’t tell) whose inventory consists predominantly of Moonshine clothing, yet I have only a few pieces on my main account.  So, I was delighted when Shelly, a relatively new friend thanks to plurk, offered me her new Fleur Smock to feature here.

The Fleur Smock, with its off the shoulder sleeves and open, flowy, baby doll style, is perfect for pairing with some cropped jeans and cute heels for a look that is at once comfy and casual, yet completely put together.  To up the “semi-casural, night on the town look,” I paired the Fleur Smock in Fog with pieces from Flirt’s Gradient Collection in black diamond.  Skinkie Winkler has recently opened her new main store and I found so many pieces that were simply stunning.  (Note to readers: Skinkie makes the most adorable gift boxes, feel free to fill them with jewels and pass them my way.)

Shelly’s more recent release, Hope, is adorable with a high-waist, buttoned skirt, sailor neckline and sweet little bow at the back.  Perhaps it was the collar, but I immediately found myself thinking of a weekend at the Hamptons.  I’m pretty sure the rich Eden color I chose would not be welcome on the tennis court, but it’s perfect for sailing.  And what Hamptons woman would dare to venture out without her diamonds? Never fear, I’ve added the Tiffany ring, again from Flirt and one of my favorite pieces of jewelry, the Heavenly ring, and the Tiffany Charm bracelet that will be released soon.

Finally, while wandering around Moonshine, the Summer Wrap shirt in Strawberry caught my eye.  It was the flouncy hem that I thought would be perfect for the slim fit of the new LeLutka Mia shorts. The patent leather toe cap of Kookie’s Powder Puff Wedges pulled the look together.  Oh, and before I forget, check the back of the wrap shirt.  There is a deep V-shape that shows off the little bandeau top, which can be worn on its own or mixed with a more business-like jacket for that little something extra.

I will be making more trips to Moonshine very soon, as there is so much to see, I couldn’t possibly take it all in in one trip.  And Shelly’s designs are so fun and flirtatious, I think they will be a great addition to my relatively *cough* demure wardrobe.
