Nimil Blackflag and Lucas Gerard make up the talented and clever duo behind LuNi Designs. Together they design, draw, build and script a variety of unique items that you won’t find anywhere else on the grid. From interesting skins and tattoos to typing animation replacers and the Mystical Heart question and answer game, you will find a treasure trove of one-of-a-kind items at their main store in Tainted Hearth. And a quick peek at their store on XstreetSL reveals still more products such as eyes, furniture and Gothic skyboxes.
I decided to break from my usual “look” and play around with a few of their creations. First up: the LuNi Dolls skin, Rosey. This haunting take on the goth doll look features a porcelain skin tone and sweet, but not innocent, pink flush around the eyes and over the cheeks. The lips are painted into a vampish pout and the arched brows add a look of bemused detachment.

I love tattoos, and the Funeral of Hearts design is a welcome addition to my collection of body art. This distinctive homage to the heartagram tattoo worn by Ville Valo, of the Finnish rock band HIM, is hand drawn and comes in both pants and underpants layers.

Finally, some of my favorite items at LuNi are the Typing Animation Replacers. Suicide Talker is perfect when talking to certain people…you know who they are, the ones that make you contemplate putting a gun to your head just to end the misery of carrying on a conversation with them. Note to readers: I recommend removing the gun before commencing any, um, intimate chat-based contact (unless, of course, your goal is to quickly put an end to said contact).

Upstairs at LuNi, you will also find some dark and beautiful artwork, poses and scenarios for exploring your own macabre fantasies. Want to see more LuNi? Sort of curious why you think posting an image like your last is appropriate?
Thanks for commenting, Miabella. The last picture…hmmm…well, the photo depicts the product I was describing and was included because it fits with my sometimes dark sense of humor. And I’m fully aware that not everyone gets that. Mostly, though, I was thinking of the awesomely bad Meryl Streep/Bruce Willis/Goldie Hawn movie from the early 90′s (as the tee would suggest) and the immortality of our avatars.
thank you gabby for blogging about our store
you look adorable in that skin! i can’t get over how cute you look!
also, just a note, the suicide talker, while a tasteless joke to some, is one of our best sellers of all time
you look amazing gabby… and i think your pictures are a wonderfully artistic representation of our products. (which you described perfectly both in the title, and body of your post) not sure how someone could miss that? lol
we’re working on a few new things for the holiday season too, along with a new build for the store. not to mention another LuNi party or two, to ring out the old and bring in the new. (we will keep you posted!)

I love the stuff that origins from the sometimes sick but always highly creative mind of Nimil and Lucas. Their bunny slipper that leave little blood traces are just adorable, I declared them ‘wearable roadkill’.
And it’s good to see that some people dare to leave the usual roads of wannabe fashionista style and explore the darker sides of content creation in SL. Thanks LuNi for your awesome things, thanks Gabby for the wonderful post!
There’s a quote from Erica Jong about dark side and creativity and genius I don’t have access to right now. I love that skin!!
Thanks, Pay, I love that skin, also. It’s interesting how different it looks on my normal shape with no alterations vs. the shape on the in-store poster…which is really gorgeous.
Is this the quote you are thinking of?
“Everyone has talent. What is rare is the courage to follow that talent to the dark place where it leads.” -Erica Jong
Personally, I think it speaks directly to the creativity Nimil and Lucas bring to SL.
of course the shape on the poster is really gorgeous :p it’s my shape.. well my old shape anyway.. before i changed it last june *vain moment*
I love LuNi and adore their dark humor and boundless creativity. Granted, it’s not for everyone, but then again, neither am I.
I love all kinds of tattoos! These are some of my favorites. Thanx
