Each night, when I log into SL, I’m bombarded with notecards and group announcements.  I usually scan each one and file it away in my “Shopping Trip” folder.  But every once in a while, I open one that just can’t wait.  Today’s notecard from Torrid Midnight was one of the latter. When I read about the “New School” collaboration between Torrid Midnight (TorridWear), Menno Ophelia (Kari), Zyrra Falcone (Panache) and Starley Thereian (Celestial Studios), I knew I had to rush right over and buy all of the pieces.

According to the notecard, “New School is a tribute to old school with a twist of modern street fashion.”  The pieces are versatile and unisex, from the New School and Girls School wigs, to the jacket, tanks, tees, jeans, sneakers and even a cool tie.  The jeans fit perfectly, even the prim legs, which I normally have to tinker with, and are expertly detailed…but, really, what do you expect from this particular design group, right?  The sweater is practically flawless and the tie has just enough flex to move with you, making it especially realistic.

Oh, and the suspenders! They add just the right touch of laid back cool mixed with “don’t mess with me” swagger.  Somehow, I managed to get out of there without the Kari Kicks, the scripted sneaks with 20 different color options and a resizing script, but you can be sure that I will be going back for them!

For now though, I just added Maitreya’s Frenzy heels, my favorite ring and some funky earrings from Flirt.
