Like Visiting An Old Friend

That’s how I felt last night when I decided to check out Emery for the first time in what seems like months.  And just like catching up with a dear friend you’ve not seen in a while, there is always something new to share, but the point of view and personality, that you’ve always loved, are the same.  I can always count on Emery for two things: styles that are casual and fun with a bit of a rock and roll edge, and prims that I will pull my hair out editing (it’s probably just me, but it always takes a try or four to make their skirts fit me correctly)…but it is definitely worth the extra effort.

The first dress is called HipChic and the retro pattern is bright and sunny, just what I was looking for as I plan end-of-summer festivities.  I’ve paired it with some great jewelry from VG Republic.  The color change script insures that I will be able to wear these pieces with anything.  The new hair by Novocaine, released at Hair Fair, is one of my new favorites, and I love the Amber color so much, I might have to become a red head.  The Pilot Shades were a Hair Fair gift from Lagroki and they are very well-made.  The highlight is a little overdone for my taste, but still a great pair of shades.

The Irish Blood English Heart outfit instantly reminded me of Annie Hall, so I paired it with my Telephoto Lens Camera by Miko Omegamu of Icing, my favorite Jaywalk boots and some great new hair by Torrid that I picked up on my most recent trip to Hair Fair.  Now, if only I were as creative as my new friends Seikatsu Koba and Gina Glimmer (visit their gallery here), I might actually pass for a real photographer.

Lately, I’ve become a big fan of dressing down, so more often than not you will find me in denim, a t-shirt and chucks.  Luckily, Emery fills my need for random t-shirts.  These are the three that I picked up last night.  Oh, and I know you can’t see it very well, but I’m wearing the Tiffany Ring in Platinum and Ruby by Flirt! I walked in to Skinkie Winkler’s store and literally had to force myself not to buy everything in the place…because I know she has some new stuff coming soon!

One last note about Emery that I love, most of their items can be purchased as part of a complete outfit or as separates for easy mixing and matching.  If you’ve not been to Emery in a while…take a minute and go catch up with an old friend.
